KNOW MORE ABOUT US

What is the story behind Maandna?

Maandna was born in 2020 as a return to hand block printing, an art deeply rooted in Rajasthan. What began as rediscovering a familiar craft grew into a commitment to work closely with artisans and create garments that carry their skill, patience, and timeless knowledge into everyday life.

What does the name “Maandna” mean?

Maandna takes its name from the traditional wall art of Rajasthan, drawn by women using lime and chalk. These artworks are made not for display, but for the joy of creating, an idea that lies at the heart of the brand.

Why does Maandna focus on hand block printing?

Hand block printing is a slow, deliberate process where each print is pressed by hand. It honours human touch, natural rhythm, and imperfection, values that align with Maandna’s belief in preserving age-old craft over mass production.

Who makes Maandna’s garments?

Maandna works directly with skilled artisans who have inherited this craft through generations. Each garment is the result of their lived knowledge, careful hands, and deep respect for the process.
